Uncivilized Indian

It energizes us as we converse with the team of “The UnCivilised Indian. A thought-provoking initiative, their actions speak volumes and set an example for every common man that “let’s do it”. The Uncivilised Indian is a young initiative to address the ignorance of social issues and its damage with its horns instead of cribbing around in general about anything and everything in the today’s so-called civilized society. UCI is a quintet, its members hail from North-East. Let’s know them better – Rahul Pandey, Lokesh Bagri, Bhaskar, Arijit Ghosh, who are students and budding entrepreneurs; Rohan Pandey, an hotelier and we have Sreekanth Saha – a software engineer by profession. These youth thought of doing something rather than just babbling and criticizing about their own society and country as a whole. They took the ownership of the evil prevailing in our society and hence – “The UnCivilised Indian.” aka UCI came into existence.

Yes, these youths are from one of the most beautiful creations of Mother Nature – ASSAM. A land of breathtaking scenic beauty, rich and diverse culture and historically significant place. Unity in diversity, that’s exactly what defines UCI Team and India. The people of Assam always welcome everyone with warm hearts as the entire Northeast has always been sidelined for unknown reasons. UCI, the beholden contribution from Assam adds to the prosperity of India. Parallelly have some evils in the society which prevails in entire India, so it’s an initiative to create awareness among the masses. They choose social media to increases awareness of critical social issues by doing social experiments and posting reactions on social media in the forms of videos.

Social issues which they have addressed are ranging from the cleanliness of neighborhood, abandoning female babies and harassing street beggars. These real life experiments expose uncivilized, non-courageous and feeble nature of common people. It shows real indifference to bad happenings among us and how that attitude can a call for downfall whereas some people stand up and give a necessary thrashing which makes you proud.

These youngsters will definitely make you think especially the “civilized” class of people of the society who tend to reflect their uncivilized minds when it comes to social issues. Their vivid mentalities, diverse thoughts, and myriad feelings force them to confront two faces of society-one being the darker which belongs to the uncivilized and the other being the victims of societal indifference. The logo reflects the same. Don’t let humdrum of today’s life to seep in and make an excuse to ignore humanity.

Day in and day out the social media gets flooded with news of the ill-deeds happening around us; lack of inactions, and no action from the common man standing next to you, who think it’s not our business. This attitude was heartbreaking for these youngsters which shaped them. It directed them to create some ripples and to take in charge of change. To confront the ignorance of society towards the atrocities and break the cycle of the blame game ignited the fire to actualize the change backed up by their belief  “in the betterment of society lies on each one of our shoulders”.

The UCI is the reflection of actions and depicts the face of the today’s young crowd which comprises of ME, YOU and US. It’s a face-off between the uncivilized and the civilized bunch as common people make this society.

UCI is determined to become an organization to help underprivileged ones and desire to make a beautiful change in our society. They are planning to reach out to more and more people and plan to seek help from the government, Young generation offers a great intellect in the face mob-lynching, Millennials fighting depression and addiction of technology.

UCI call upon the youth of India to embrace life beyond technology, relationships, swaying away time uselessly doing nothing and to make things happen rather than building up mounds of complaints of what could be done. UCI addresses Suicide head-on and refers it as “never an answer, never a solution”.

To their surprise, common people are encouraging UCI’s efforts on social media and in person and team points one with safety concerns “Whatever you are doing without fearing where today’s generation is busy in love but be careful, don’t make enemies”.  Initial hassles from parents later got converted into reassurances and excitement towards new experiments.

UCI extends their thanks to people who welcomed their initiative with warm support and believe in the team like  Amit Saha, Bijit, Gautam Sharma, Puja Gupta, Rohit Talukdar, Samiul Ansari and many others. UCI pay their respects to teachers specially Alokesh Sir who never fails to motivate them, each day coming up with innovative ideas for the society’s betterment. People recognize the team as video creators, acknowledge their work and gets motivated for good deeds.

It takes a lot of effort and dedication to make a change and being one too. The team encourages the small steps of kindness which make society a better place. Do check out their page and watch their social experiments so that a shock wave can straighten up your spine. Check their Facebook Page for their different initiatives.
