lies near Andromeda, a new borne star, a seething temptress burning with desire…
A prescribed smile, the purported treatment, although one found
to be true. The written prescription advocated and endorsed,
regarding the patient’s happiness,
in hopes
of alleviating her melancholy, recommended and authorized with
good intention, to be given not more than twice daily, thus
improving her mental condition, if administered
as instructed…
Remarkably familiar, her fervent touch, warm and passionate
and filled with compassion, as revealed within her loving,
caring eyes…
Were she to have felt I have forgotten her within these long years
gone by; never had the thought entered my mind,
as she may have felt I had,
nor,
also, the remembrances of our relationship which has endured
throughout our entire lives, the moments betwixt and between.
All have remained relatively intact, except for perhaps, a few
minor indiscretions which bear no relevancy
nor consequence…
Turquoise blue, if I remember, the colouring of her eyes,
the colouring of the moon I imagined
to be,
as she lay floating atop the waters of the deep blue sea while
silently taking a breath of air to
breathe, and I,
left
imagining capturing the moment within a dream I lie dreaming…
So picturesque, the visual depiction, what became a photographic
memory beautifully and magically enhanced by an artistic
touch of an artist’s brush, the painting of a portrait,
the image had become
and she, awakening near and beside awaiting the arrival of the sun.
