Moonstruck

It must be those eyes of hers, the image revealed, the lingering

madness, a loss of time. I am left to wonder

about the hours swept silently

by…

Was it she appearing in my dreams clinging to a tear

and an inaudible whisper? How much more

am I to suffer

as I wander about aimlessly within

my delirium.

Rhythmic; if I were to describe her heartbeat, each and every

the breath she has taken to breathe

a breath of

air…

Was it a symphony I had heard, the musical composition

if I were to compare it to as such? The notes

scribed upon a stanza…

Leaves me to wonder if I had written of her whisperings,

that coy smile of hers. It must be so, as how oft

she always intrigues

me.

And

look at her, the look within her dreamy eyes. Am I to wonder

of her vivid imagination. Where does it leave her, atop

Mt. Everest, one of the seven seas, swimming

about within the Sea of Tranquillity

within the crescent of

the moon?

These illustrious illustrations, lurid, as they often are, my escape

from reality, are they nothing more, but an introduction

to my insanity or another one of my grand

illusions.
