She awoke with a start, unaware that she had been whiling away
the hours, nor did she expect to be surrounded by the dark
which had enveloped her, it was only minutes
ago she had to lie down
to nap.
Had she fallen into a dream? She wondered as she attempted to
make sense of which had transpired; hoping that doing so
would bring her back to
reality
which she felt she had lost in touch with, she heard herself
whispering as she tried to cope with her delirium
which she seemed to be temporarily
afflicted with.
Surely, I had not gone insane, everything is going by in a blur
and I seem to have lost myself in a moment never did I
ask for nor want,
God, I cannot exist like this, she screamed as she began to
uncontrollably weep. Heaven helps me, please, if there
is a hell I seem to have wandered aimlessly
into it.
God If you can hear, I wish you were hearing me now…
Starlight. A full moon. Was she seeing things she began to wonder?
Were my prayers answered? I seemed to be so delusional
only a few moments
ago.
Have I reason to celebrate? I’ll have a jack and coke, a shot of
tequila, a pinch of salt, and a slice of lime.
