Makeover Artist and Skincare expert Ms. Deepti Mohinder is from Kolkata and her journey in the beauty industry started in the year 2006.
She attended a program of popular celebrity makeup artist, Corry Walia. His inspiring words motivated her to explore and plunge into the colorful world of makeup. The best people from the industry like Corry Walia, Bharat and Dorris, Jharna Shah for bridals, Temptu USA for airbrush make up catapulted her career graph. To enhance and complete the look, she decided to learn the nuances of hairdressing for which she completed a certified residential course at Toni ‘n’ Guy Academy, Kuala Lumpur. In addition to this, Ms. Deepti has attended several short-term pieces of training from premium brands like Moroccan Oil, Olaplex, L’Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Skeyndor, and Global Keratin. She has grown from being a bridal and Makeup artist to doing makeup projects for their theatre, movies, and photo shoots. Ms. Deepti also conducts many workshops. She has been impaneled with Temptu, USA. She has also educated students in VLCC.
Ms. Deepti comes from a media background. The science behind makeup and the inquisitiveness of colors combined with the camera inspired her to go deeper into the subject. The thought, of how human beings, get transformed by combining these elements intrigued her to a very large extent. During her pregnancy break, she learned the art of makeup and took a break from the advertising agency.
Like every professional, she faced fewer challenges, as way back then, when she started as a makeup artist, there was not much competition, Except for the tantrums she had to face from certain clients.
With the increasing demand for makeup artists, the only way to stand apart is to keep upgrading and updating. She has been constantly learning new skills and techniques.
Opening her own makeup academy is her biggest achievement and it also motivates her to grow more.
