To have read the words you have laboriously written, referring to
your mentioned how weakened you have become after having
done so.
I pray you have regained your strength, realizing all of which was
taken away whilst your pen lay within your trembling hand,
revealing one’s emotions, bearing one’s soul within the sentences
and paragraphs without a thought of hesitation do drain one’s
self.
exposing themselves in the manner as have you to whatever slings
and arrows one may or will endure. Which, in itself, pertaining to
what has been inflicted,
does not bring to one what solace one may be seeking. But I do
pray you have found a sense of resolve, referring to what you
may find less burdensome.
Does weigh one down, carrying what one wants to rid themselves
of, memories and recollections one may find haunting…
They do remain with you, increments of the past one desire to
keep well hidden. Only to realize they will never be, bespeaking
of the manner they slip through one’s grasp.
Sadly, they do arrive as a nightmares in one’s dreams, oft-times
leaving that one trembling upon their awakening.
I remember the inflections within her voice as she attempted to
let out more than a mere whisper, the sheer terror in her eyes,
as she wept. She could not stop shuddering.
It was more than ever that I imagined the depths of her loneliness.
I held her within that long night, Listened to the shallowness of
her breath. Counted the empty spaces in between her every
heartbeat. She did not want to let go.
In the year she had become my confidant. We shared everything,
including secrets we had kept to ourselves. I trusted her, as she
did I. We were more than compatible and I felt her slipping away.
Never have I forgotten that faraway look in her eyes as she
reached out within the darkness before the memory of her
faded away into oblivion.
