Television, OTT, and Film Actor and Producer ‘Nivaan Sen’ is nowadays busy with several things and projects and we did a candid chat with him and tried to peep inside his professional and personal front.
Q. What’s going on with your Upcoming Film?
A. Well nowadays everyone asks us the same question in different ways haha (he laughed).
See there’re two ways to make films according to my point of view one you’ve plenty of money and you have a story and you go straight on the floor and the second way is your budget is restricted I mean a limited budget and before going on the floor you and your team work on each aspect of the film whether technically, production, or casting you’ve to work on these aspects, otherwise if you’re restricted on the budget front you would face problems. So our Production team (UrbanBoatFilms) I mean every person on the team is working very hard on each aspect, our homework of any kind of work can save extra time and money for our Production and Producers haha (he laughed).
What kind of Creative Chemistry between you and Mr.Sunil Kothari?
A. See the whole vision of the story created by Sunil Ji when we met and sat over the subject several times we understood what he wanted to say. He has an excellent knowledge of Indian History, Culture, Society, and the Contemporary era. First of all, he intend to write a book on the subject but later on, we mutually agreed on making a film on this subject because the reach of cinema is worldwide and easy to keep your vision among the audience.
Q. Recently we saw you at Indian Television Awards, What are your thoughts about the Awards?
A. Last few years I stopped going on Award Functions because of a few personal reasons but now I thought I should continue (he smiled). Well, an award gives recognition to an artist. Any artist who works hard over the years not only for the sake of money but also for recognition. There’re a few awards that are recognized worldwide and every artist wants to get or reach that level so I believe awards give us an extra boost and make your endurance high.
What about your works on Television and OTT Platforms?
A. Well my last work on Television was ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin ‘ on ‘Star Plus’ & ‘Hotstar’ and the audience loved my character as ‘Sadanand.’ Apart from Television my web Show ‘Jhumke ‘ was also loved by the audience as ‘Ashok’. It’s always gratitude. The last six months were very hectic because we’re working on our pre-production of the film and because it’s a big responsibility on our shoulders therefore I couldn’t peep here and there. I’m getting calls from different production houses and yes audience would see me on the OTT platform soon in a crime thriller story this year.
