Love can make us feel alive, but it can also leave us facing emotions we never expected. It tests patience, challenges our choices and sometimes leaves us searching for answers long after a relationship has ended.
This is a story about love, heartbreak, longing and the complicated emotions that remain when two people who once felt inseparable begin to drift apart.
When Love Finds You
I found someone beautiful, funny, energetic and full of life. I had already chosen you in my heart, and I wanted you beside me like an inseparable shadow.
We were in love. We shared our happiest moments, our fears and our dreams. She became the person whose presence could change my entire day.
The first time I made her smile, it brightened something inside me. The first time I hurt her, she made sure I understood what her absence felt like.
Perhaps that is how love works. It gives you immense happiness, but it also makes you vulnerable to immense pain.
We both loved fantasies and feelings.
Her fantasies. His feelings. Their story.
We were two sides of the same coin.
One side was her. The other was him.
The coin was love.
How Do You Survive Love?
How far can two people survive love when life keeps placing obstacles in their way?
Every relationship has its stones, debris and storms. Some couples find a way through them, while others slowly become exhausted by the journey.
For us, her presence made everything feel right.
“With you beside me, I am myself.”
We tried to avoid a breakup, but the world around us seemed determined to interfere.
People wanted to know everything about us. They wanted every detail of our relationship, every secret and every painful moment. Yet, those same people were never willing to share their own private stories.
It became difficult to understand who was right and who was wrong.
Who was the villain?
Who was the victim?
Perhaps neither of us was completely innocent.
When Others Become Part of Your Relationship
Relationships can become even more complicated when outsiders begin interpreting them.
I created my own version of the story, and perhaps others accepted it without knowing what was happening behind closed doors. Suddenly, you became the bad person in their eyes.
With time, however, I began analysing what had happened between us.
I started asking difficult questions.
What went wrong?
Why did we reach this point?
Was it love that failed us, or was it the way we handled love?
Sometimes, self-realisation arrives only after the damage has already been done.
And perhaps you were right about me all along.
Love Can Hurt and Comfort at the Same Time
There are moments in a relationship when affection and pain exist together.
You can love someone deeply and still hurt them. You can miss someone while knowing that staying together may not be possible. You can remember their touch, their smile and their voice while simultaneously remembering everything that went wrong.
That contradiction makes heartbreak so difficult.
“He nibbles my chin and crushes my heart, both at the same time.”
Love can make a person feel safe and vulnerable at the same time.
I am still with you in my thoughts, even if life has taken us in different directions.
So, my love, I wish you peace and prosperity.
Dwell in peace and prosperity, my love.
There Is Still No Conclusion
Perhaps this story does not need a conclusion yet.
Maybe you can read our story through my version of it. Maybe, if you look closely enough, you can understand what I could never express through words.
I hope you can read my mind.
I hope you can read my eyes.
Because those eyes are still searching for you.
My faith remains undefiant. My mind constantly tells me to move forward, but my heart remains a free bird, refusing to follow every rule that reason creates.
Maybe there is still more to say.
Maybe some love stories do not end when the relationship ends.
Sometimes, they continue quietly in memories, unanswered questions and the longing for someone who once felt like home.
There is still a lot to be said before this story can truly have a conclusion.
