I was so engrossed in a Netflix show last night that I forgot all about the Super Blue Moon. I was disappointed to have missed this magnificent celestial event, but I was delighted to see on Facebook this morning that my friend Swat Deshpande had captured it.
The photo shows the Western Railways HQ at Churchgate, bathed in the light of the Super Blue Moon. The building was built in 1899 and is a beautiful example of British colonial architecture.
Mumbai is home to many other heritage buildings, each with its own unique story to tell. Those heritage buildings represent the city’s rich history and culture. They are also a reminder of the importance of preserving our heritage for future generations.
The Super Blue Moon is a rare celestial event that occurs when a full moon coincides with a blue moon. The next Super Blue Moon will not be seen until 2037.
I believe that the Super Blue Moon is a reminder of the beauty and wonder of the natural world. It is a time to appreciate the interconnectedness of all things and to reflect on our place in the universe. I am grateful that I was able to experience this rare event, and I hope that you will have the opportunity to see it for yourself someday.
