Awaits the moon with Venus lying beneath the cradle and you,
standing at your window breathing in a breath
of the late evening’s moisture
laden air as a
thunderstorm lay appearing near the horizon whilst a lightening
strike revealed a tear lying within the corner of
your eyes.
I could not help, but to feel you trembling as I drew you near.
For you to have looked at me with those teary eyes and I hearing
your soften sighs. There is nothing more weakening
than a woman’s touch as I held you
close
and listened to the whisperings lying beneath your breath…;
Never have I defined your intentions as being meaningless words.
The sentences and paragraphs within your whispering’s
and your handwritten letters
and notes.
revelations of romantic interludes and of our secret rendezvous.
They reveal the birth of memories. Moments we will
always treasure.
Remembrances of our endearing love whilst we cling onto
another increment of
time…
Interwoven, as we are, intricately intertwined, as our thoughts
have become, communicating without an utterance,
reading the words written within
our eyes without
a hindrance,
acknowledging we cannot withhold what we may prefer to remain secretive, referring to the thoughts we desire to keep well
hidden and the utter impossibility,
thereof
Pertaining to the sensitive matter, a secret may or may not reveal,
implied or otherwise, it is a perplexity we must
resolve.
I realize you may feel it trivial, what I find a travesty, what you
defined as being an absurdity, as revealed
within your eyes…
And therein lies the reasoning, what I have read without offering
an utterance, explicit, as your eyes were, as you revealed
your thought held within
them.
If only we were to close our eye; unimaginable as you may feel
it to be, our not conversing, it is a conundrum we must
attend to,
considering the implications, which are unfathomable…
A consequence I pray not to
suffer.
