Caressing my lips with her kiss

Oft-times she found herself highly recommended, but she could
never reason why. Having been a recluse the entirety of her life,
and by her own admittance,
quite evasive, making it extremely difficult for those who sought
her expertise, although she was never particularly fond of it, the

Words I heard her whisper as she lay gazing into my eyes.

–Should I compare it to the tears the star wept, as it fell from the
sky? Certainly, it has met its death. Shall we, if we were to continue
our lover’s tryst?
–What words would we have been left to hear, if referring to our
newly acquired passion? If we were capable of hearing them at all,
as spirits are oft said to do…
Hearing the words a loved one has read from a eulogy or the
words written within one’s epitaph. Surely our love affair
would have led to our deaths, don’t you think?”
I could only hear the silence which arose as she lightly caressed
my lips with her kiss.
