Delicate like a petal, strong as a thorn

As a rose,

I found her beatific, entrancing, and alluring, soft to the touch,

and twice as fragrant whether she stood alone

or within a crowd,

always,

it was she who drew my

mysteriously

near…

Were it her eyes I first gazed upon, that certain look within her

limpid pools of

blue.

How she captured me with her smile, the coloring of her lips,

the crimson red of a darkened hue, her whispers

I have heard haunting me within

a dream

as I lie alone in the dark, reaching for no one other than she.

As a shadow she arrives, her eyes peering through a mist

piercing my heart, my tormented soul.

Fearlessly she gazed upon

the dark,

the empty spaces betwixt the moon and stars, hoping to find

a remembrance of herself, an image within a reflection

she had, long ago

forgotten…

Was I dreaming of her or had she entered as a premonition,

the manner in which she lies revealing herself in hopes

of gaining recognition,

will work on this later
