You can get mad at God. Be really furious with Him. You can fight with Him in your prayers. Accuse Him of being partial. And negligent. Of not being benevolent towards you. And merciful. Of betraying your faith and trust. You can rave and rant. Charge Him
with every misfortune in your life. Blame Him for whatever you didn’t get. As Bollywood films show the angry young hero before impassive idols in Temples that are strangely empty of devotees and the priest. You can do worse than all this. But you
cannot touch God. Ditto this Man. Dispossessed of his Temple. But still the Presiding
Deity. You can accuse him of sexual harassment and molestation over several years. And file police complaints against him. Sit in protest for weeks in public places demanding action against him. Face police arrest. Rally the opposition and country to join you. Make national headlines and global news. You can get disturbed by World and Olympic bodies questioning the government’s blind eye and his long brazen run. But you cannot touch him. He must be God.
