What I precariously cling to, are the remnants of memories; words, and images within them. One may feel them unimaginative
when considering, themselves, had not
lived them.
I am not resilient as others may well be when referring to the
years which have swept slowly by while those whom I
once loved, arrive within a long and lonely,
dreary night…
each one, regrettably, I have kept, the look within their eyes, their
eyes, their words, and their appearances, those who do
nothing more, but to fright
and haunt
the ones who have become monsters hiding beneath my bed…
It dispels all reason, what lies within their eyes, I feel it would be
the death of me, if they chose to linger and not turning
away, as they sometimes
do…
Early dawn, she lies awake contemplating the meaning of her
meager existence while gazing at the moon circumventing
the morning sky at twilight…
An encapsulation of a memory I regret having kept,
whilst clinging onto an increment of time.
Were it meant to have become an eternity, recounting the passage
of years, she became imprisoned within, referring to her
mirrored reflection trapped within
a looking glass.
oh boy howdy…..lol I’m gonna put this one aside and work
on it later…..lol lol
