I lie hidden deeply, clinging desperately to your soul; you may see
me in the pale moonlight as you bathe in tears falling
from the mountains of
the moon,
I hear you as a whisper within a rising wind.
Tell me of Andromeda,
a cluster of faraway
stars,
whisper to me of sadness, why you weep within your dreams.
Speak to me of high tide and low tide, the pull of gravity.
Reveal your smile behind the facade you wear,
your curtain of fear.
I know only of silence, whisper your words of love.
Time is but a fleeting moment filling the empty spaces within
one’s life, It matters not if one lies deep in slumber
sleeping or awakening from within
a dream,
time encompasses all throughout eternity…
Although we are not immortal, within a memory, one’s life
continues on and on as we re-envision the dead
and living within a
photograph
or words were written within a sentence or paragraph, always,
whether we are revisiting the present or the past.
We grow weary, every now and then, you and I, although
you have had much more sleepless
nights.
Within the dark, you wander aimlessly, in a mist and gently falling
rain capturing the tears you have
wept.
I have held you within the dreams you dreamed as you lie writhing
in your pain, felt the cold of winter’s
breath…
So difficult to let you go. In silence lie a rose upon your grave
whose color revealed a crimson
red…
I write in segments of memories, a page or two, nothing more,
nothing less. Etched upon a tombstone your name
revealed.
Never have I forgotten your soft touch, the coloring of your
eyes, all seems so senseless. If only I had breathed another
breath of air for you, a cold winter’s
breath…
