Self-inquiry is the art of asking ourselves the right question. These questions become thoughts; thoughts become words; words become actions; actions become character; and, character changes everything. When times get tough and problems arise, it is the strength of our character that sees us through. And since our character is influenced by what we say to ourselves, it’s important to think about how you’ve been speaking to yourself lately. Have you been empowering and encouraging or negatively belittling yourself? You speak silently to yourself all day long, and part of you believes what you say. You can overcome stress and negativity by choosing one thought over another. Those who refuse to see the good in what they have will never find happiness. Think positive even when life gives you every reason to be negative.
