Introduction

In the wondrous embrace of February 2013, I initiated AVERTI, a radiant vision poised to cascade awareness through the masses, igniting the fires of sexual health enlightenment. Within its sacred realm, AVERTI blossoms as a magnificent one-stop emporium, wherein knowledge dances like ethereal petals, casting a luminous tapestry of understanding upon the fertile minds of children. Here, they embark on a transformative journey, unlocking the secrets of their own bodies and embracing the tapestry of their sexual responsibility with open arms. AVERTI, is a sanctuary of wisdom, breathing life into the dreams of a vibrant, enlightened generation.

Struggles

In a realm of parental beliefs, there exists a prevailing notion that children under the tender age of 16 are too youthful to explore the enigmatic realm of human sexuality. Yet, unbeknownst to these guardians, children as young as 10 harbor a nascent awareness of the intricacies of sexual activities, though lacking comprehension of the elusive “what” and “why” behind such endeavors. This reluctance of the parental figures unwittingly propels these curious souls to embark upon a personal quest, seeking enlightenment amidst the vast expanse of the internet. Oh, the internet, a wondrous tapestry woven with threads of knowledge and unfathomable power, serves as both a savior and adversary. Alas, amidst this virtual labyrinth, the veracity of information becomes an ephemeral notion, oft tainted by the hues of fallacy. And so, this acquired knowledge clings to the child’s innocent psyche, birthing a multitude of misconceptions, entwined with matters of intimacy and its kin.

In this day and age, the subject of sex still resides in the realm of sensitivity for many individuals. Parents and educators face a considerable challenge when it comes to broaching this topic with children and providing them with adequate guidance to address their curiosities and worries. The task of convincing them about the crucial significance of sex education demands a great deal of effort.

Transforming the traditional approach to teaching sex education is no easy feat. There are numerous doubts and misconceptions surrounding the subject, necessitating careful consideration and clarification. Unraveling these deep-rooted notions and embracing fresh knowledge requires a considerable amount of time and patience.

Support

In the initial stages, my mother found herself in a maze of perplexity, unsure of what I pursued, but eventually, she embraced my path and is now filled with genuine pride. My beloved husband and children, unwavering and strong, have consistently been the sturdy foundation upon which I built my dreams. My endeavors remained concealed from the world until fate intervened and my words found their way into the prestigious pages of a prominent Gujarati magazine. Suddenly, a recognition was bestowed upon me, easing the way for others to comprehend my pursuits. Throughout this journey, my loved ones never sought to suppress my growth; on the contrary, their unwavering support has been a beacon of light. My remarkable children, with their remarkable empathy, have never voiced discontent or resentment during those rare moments when my presence eluded them.

Dream

My heartfelt aspiration resonates with the desire to extend my reach far and wide, embracing both the young and the old through the avenues of schools, colleges, and open workshops. My ultimate mission is to illuminate minds and hearts, fostering a profound awareness of sexual health. I yearn to witness schools across India wholeheartedly embracing the imparting of accurate sexual education—a transformative approach that not only sheds light on the consequences but also empowers individuals to make informed and wise choices. By dismantling the suffocating veil of taboo, my vision is to create an environment where the youth can freely embrace and accept their sexuality, nurturing a generation unburdened by shame and embracing their authentic selves.

Challenges Faced

Within the labyrinth of contradictory voices, I proudly bear the title of a “Sexuality Coach,” a badge that evokes both admiration and disdain. It is disheartening to witness the same individuals who extol my chosen path and then deride me as a fool for delving into such a subject matter. Regrettably, the majority of men misconstrue my professional role as an invitation, leading to an onslaught of unwelcome messages, calls, and invitations masquerading as business engagements—an unfortunate necessity to connect with the right audience.

Yet, the time has come for them to perceive me not merely as a woman, but as a multifaceted human being. A being who comprehends the profound significance of cultivating healthy relationships and possesses an unwavering passion for disseminating this knowledge to others. It is my fervent wish that society transcends its narrow-minded lens and acknowledges the essence of my humanity, allowing my wisdom to flourish and empower those in search of genuine understanding.

The Necessity of Women’s Empowerment

Empowerment, the art of blossoming into a force of strength and unwavering confidence, is a sacred journey. It entails embracing the right to live life on our own terms, unapologetically claiming our inherent rights as women. Alas, we have allowed ourselves to be ensnared in a web of valuing our men above all else, inadvertently neglecting our own worth along the way.

Only when women are granted the gift of education, unrestricted employment opportunities, and a world free from bias, can they soar freely, liberated with a profound sense of self-value, commanding respect and dignity in every stride they take.

Let our voices, as women resonate fiercely and unbound. Let them echo across the ages, reverberating with the strength of generations past, for we possess the innate right to be seen, heard, and acknowledged. Together, we rise, igniting a flame of empowerment that blazes brighter with each passing moment.

Moral
