Whispers the dark, the pale dim glow of moonlight dancing softly
as revealed within your eyes, and I gazing upon them
lured by an enchantment, I found
irresistible…
We barely spoke a word,
you and I,
caught within a moment of passion which had overwhelmed us.
Ever still, I taste a faint whisper of sweetness which lingered
within the caress of your kiss. Unimaginable,
how it remains
as a remembrance; sweet
strawberry
wine,
unforgettable, as the night was. If I were to close my eyes
would I return to that moment in time when we
felt we would be forever
young.
Would I find you within that whisper of the dark? I am left always
to wonder, referring to your eyes, how easily deceiving,
oft-times cryptic…
Was it your intent to mislead me. I feel I have been made a fool,
and look at you, a portrayal of innocence, there is nothing
more believable, as you take
those who surround you in by your unwavering charm while
stripping them bare and leaving them left to their
own devices. Have you no
shame?
Isn’t it obvious, we are at your mercy, do with us what you will.
I
long for a conversation, sharing more than a word or two, whilst
awaiting within a sentence cling to an elongated
pause.
If I could, I would gaze longingly into your eyes to read what has
been lovingly scribed, the thoughts which were birthed
within your mind.
Expressions of your emotions revealed within the tears clinging to
the corner of your eyes. Words I found an endearment,
the passion felt within them
well-defined…
To lie suffocating
within
this silence, I find an intrusion, and certainly not welcomed,
in the manner it has inconveniently
arrived…
More than a remembrance, what remains within an undercurrent
of time, I drowning within the turbulence.
This loss of words, to which I have not grown accustomed to.
Remembering the words which once flowed freely upon
your lips, their colouring of blue
revealing a touch of
sadness.
