What an awe-inspiring moment for every Indian! Oh wait, for every Indian woman… actually, scratch that—for every fan of the Indian women’s cricket team!

Now, you must be wondering why I hesitated to validate those two words I said earlier. Well, let me gladly explain. When I said “every Indian,” I realized that’s not entirely true—because, as we all know, there’s always that 20–30% of our population who, no matter how much we grow or achieve, will still find a reason to criticize. Therefore, I couldn’t honestly say “every Indian.” And when it comes to our men’s cricket team, let’s be real—we’re not always the happiest fans either. This time, it’s about the women’s team, and I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations there either.

Secondly, “every Indian woman” — not really. There’s an old saying that a woman often struggles to support another woman. Sadly, I feel that still holds true to some extent. Maybe 60% of women weren’t even excited about the Indian women’s team; many didn’t watch the match. Perhaps they weren’t allowed to, or maybe they were too busy fulfilling endless responsibilities — so caught up in their world of family duties that the rest of the world feels distant and irrelevant.

Then comes the age-old mindset — that women are meant for homes. Unfortunately, that mentality hasn’t changed much. So when our women’s team wins, not everyone celebrates. Some say, “How does that change my life? What difference does it make to me?”

And you know what? I somewhat understand that thought. Because unless we, as women, choose to change ourselves, how can we expect the world to change for us? My dear ladies, the truth is simple — change begins from within.

And then come people like me — those who are genuinely thrilled to see the women of India making the world proud! These are the moments that we truly feel in every bone, every cell of our being. Because for us women, this victory isn’t just about a match — it’s a fight for recognition, for equality, for the freedom to prove that we are worthy. It feels nothing short of a freedom struggle — only this time, it’s fought on the field.

Well, I am so proud of the fact that our Indian women have shown what true brilliance looks like — smarter, mentally sharper, and with an incredible presence of mind throughout the match. It was the World Cup Final, yet they managed to keep their anxiety completely under control. Oh man, that’s a rare skill! To see all eleven players of Team India maintain that composure in such a high-pressure game — simply commendable. Hats off to you, ladies!

The way that wicket was taken — catching the batswoman out of the crease — was pure presence of mind. The way they backed each other up, celebrated every moment, and lifted each other’s spirits — that’s what real teamwork looks like. The way Jemimah pulled herself together and Smriti stood right behind her, not for the cameras, but out of genuine care — that’s not showmanship, that’s pure humanity, leadership by example.
And that beautiful moment when they handed over the trophy to the former women’s cricket team — that gesture of gratitude said it all. They acknowledged those who came before them, who struggled, dreamed, and paved the way for today’s victory.

Let’s not forget those behind the scenes — the parents, the loved ones, the coaches — the people who believed, guided, and nurtured them with patience, strategy, and mental strength. Together, they created the perfect combination — determination, teamwork, and heart. And that, right there, is the recipe for victory.
I absolutely loved the gesture when I saw Rohit Sharma cheering for the Indian women’s team — truly phenomenal! Some actions speak louder than words, and this match was the perfect example of that. It was humanity and humility in full bloom.

What a delight it was to witness — the emotional intelligence, the grounded spirit, and the sheer admiration for every woman who has been part of this journey. This wasn’t just about winning a match; it was about celebrating every step of progress the Indian women’s cricket team has made.
From the days when they played for just ₹1,000 a match to now — a journey worth ₹51 crore, and more importantly, rich in respect, equity, and grace. They did it without harboring hatred or bitterness in their hearts — only with passion, perseverance, and purpose.

Seriously, I want to ask — how can anyone still believe that Indian men are better in any way than their female counterparts? No offense meant, but it’s time we all reflect on this question. To everyone who has ever doubted a woman’s dignity, dismissed her efforts, or called her dreams a waste of time — this is your moment to watch, to witness.

Because here we are — at the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, where the winners are none other than the Indian Women’s Cricket Team!
They’ve proven that strength, skill, grace, and grit know no gender. This victory isn’t just theirs — it’s a win for every woman who has ever been told she can’t.
