Words, their unannounced arrival, seemingly appearing out of thin
air, leaving one wordless, realizing how easily they disappear
while one vainly attempts to cling precariously onto
them.
Oft-times, I have found it more than disheartening, having lost
a train of thought, finding myself imprisoned within an
elongated pause,
although others may feel it as being trivial, the occurrence, I find
it tragic, the struggle, in the manner it tends to weaken those
who are unfortunate to experience such
a horrific event.
Should one be disappointed, when acknowledging one may never
regather what one has lost, the sentences and paragraphs which
were never written…
What might have been, bespeaking of a memory one has more
than treasured or is one to find it humorous, realizing how
easily the words have slipped away.
These tears I have wept, the emotional trauma, having forgotten
a moment of the past, an increment of time I most cherished,
the look within a loved one’s eyes.
Is it to be thought of as being a longing, praying to remember
one’s angelic voice, the words I have dreamt of whilst
fitfully dreaming…
I am left at such a loss.
