What does it take to build something that goes beyond personal success?
For Shreekant Patil, the answer began with loss. In 2003, he lost his father. The moment forced him to pause and reflect on his life. Until then, he had followed a stable path as an electrical engineer with ten years of corporate experience. He had skills, security, and direction. Yet, he felt a growing need to create something meaningful.
He wanted to build something that would stand out and create value for others.
In 2004, he acted on that decision. Along with his wife, Sneha Patil, he founded PARENTNashik. This step marked the beginning of a journey that would expand far beyond business.
What followed was a journey that expanded from building a business to shaping startups, MSMEs, and India’s broader growth ecosystem.
How Did Shreekant Patil Build a Global Manufacturing Enterprise
Shreekant Patil chose to focus on a specialized field from the start. He entered the domain of robotic spot welding consumables and precision components. He built his company with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and consistency.
Over time, PARENTNashik developed more than 300 specialized parts and became a trusted supplier to global automotive industries. By 2014, the company achieved a major milestone by becoming a supplier to one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers.

Today, more than 95 percent of its products are exported to Europe and North America. The company serves clients across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this journey is how he built these global connections. He adopted digital tools early, at a time when internet usage in India was still growing. He used online platforms to connect with clients, promote his products, and scale his business.
For more than two decades, he operated without relying on international travel. He built a global presence while staying rooted in India. He only traveled abroad for the first time in September 2025.
Within the company, his values reflect clearly. Women make up a significant portion of the workforce, which highlights his commitment to inclusive growth.
How Did His Role Expand Beyond Business
As his business grew, Shreekant Patil began to observe a larger challenge. Many startups and MSMEs struggled to scale. They lacked access to funding, mentorship, and global markets.
He decided to address this gap.
He began mentoring entrepreneurs and aligning his efforts with national initiatives such as Startup India, Stand Up India, and BHASKAR. His guidance focused on practical areas such as exports, digital marketing, and business strategy.
His mentorship created measurable impact. He has guided more than 350 startups across India and international markets. In Maharashtra alone, he supported the development of over 120 startups.
Through government schemes and structured guidance, he helped entrepreneurs access funding exceeding 15 crore rupees. More than 75 startups received one-on-one mentorship through incubation centers such as IIT Bombay, Vadhwani Foundation, and Telangana Foundation.
Several startups under his guidance achieved strong growth. Some reached business turnovers between 600 and 700 crore rupees. More than 25 startups secured government orders through the GeM platform. Seventeen startups gained international exposure and funding opportunities.

His work transformed individual businesses into scalable enterprises.
How Did Shreekant Patil Empower Women and Marginalized Entrepreneurs
Shreekant Patil placed strong emphasis on inclusion. He worked actively to support women entrepreneurs and individuals from underserved communities.
He contributed to initiatives such as Assist Stand Up India, Udyami Mitra, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform under the G20 framework. Through these efforts, he helped more than 100 women entrepreneurs in Nashik access funding, expand their businesses, and enter new markets.
He believes that economic growth must include equal opportunities. His work reflects this belief through consistent action, both within his organization and across the wider ecosystem.
How Did He Drive Digital Transformation for MSMEs
Shreekant Patil recognized early that digital adoption would shape the future of business. Many MSMEs struggled to adapt to this shift.
He guided businesses to adopt digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, and global trade systems. He helped them understand how to position themselves in competitive markets.
He also supported the onboarding of more than 100 startups and MSMEs onto platforms such as ONDC and MSMEMart. This enabled them to expand their reach and improve visibility.
In addition, he worked closely with export promotion councils such as EEPC, SEPC, and APEDA as an export trainer and consultant. As a DGFT registered Chartered Engineer, he contributed to strengthening export capabilities for Indian businesses.
What Role Does He Play in Education and Institutional Development
Shreekant Patil extended his work into education and capacity building. He collaborated with more than 50 colleges and skill development centers across Maharashtra.
He helped establish incubation centers, innovation councils, and entrepreneurship development cells. Through faculty development programs, he contributed to integrating entrepreneurship into academic frameworks aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.
He also serves as a mentor at leading institutions such as IIT Bombay and IIT Madras. His involvement includes programs under AICTE and international academic collaborations.
As a Professor of Practice under UGC and a trainer under Government of India programs, he continues to shape the next generation of entrepreneurs.
How Does He Contribute to Global Trade and Policy
Shreekant Patil holds several leadership and advisory roles across national and international platforms.
He serves as Chairman of the Startup Committee at NIMA Startup Hub and holds leadership roles within MACCIA and other industry bodies. His involvement extends to organizations such as the Asia Africa Chamber of Commerce, Poland India Chamber, and Indo American Chamber.
At the global level, he contributes as an advisor and consultant to institutions including the United Nations, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Trade Council, and European Commission. He also works with financial institutions such as Euro Exim Bank, African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, and SIDBI.
His expertise bridges business, policy, and global trade.
How Does He Support Sustainability and Quality Standards
Shreekant Patil actively promotes sustainable and quality-driven business practices.
In 2025, he was recognized as a Sustainability Ambassador for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in India. This recognition reflects his commitment to responsible growth.

He played a key role in helping Nashik achieve the highest number of ZED certifications in Maharashtra. His work supports quality standards and improves the global competitiveness of MSMEs.
He is also associated with the Quality Council of India and contributes to standards through the Bureau of Indian Standards and American Welding frameworks.
His certifications in LEAN and ZED consultancy further strengthen his contribution to quality and efficiency.
What Is His Vision for Viksit Bharat
Shreekant Patil’s vision focuses on building a strong and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He believes India’s growth depends on empowering startups, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs with the right tools and support. His approach combines mentorship, digital adoption, funding access, and global exposure.
He continues to work toward creating opportunities for individuals who are ready to build but need structured guidance.
A Story That Inspires Action
Shreekant Patil’s journey reminds us that purpose does not arrive fully formed. It grows through choices, challenges, and the courage to move forward even in uncertain moments.
He did not begin with a global vision. He began with a decision to build something meaningful. Over time, that decision created opportunities for hundreds of entrepreneurs and contributed to a larger national vision.
His story shows that you do not need perfect conditions to start. You need clarity, consistency, and the willingness to act.
Every idea has the potential to grow. Every effort can create impact. What matters is the decision to begin and the discipline to continue.
And sometimes, that is enough to change not just your own path, but the future of many others.
